I’d wait till they sort out all the transmission problems with the Taco.

Pretty cool car, did some quick research and it has the same base CVT engine that’s in the Civic and that there’s a base trim below the one shown in this short (this is with the a-spec package) but the base model starts at around $32k which is pretty crazy and kinda cheap for a luxury brand!

The 3rd Gen Taco is still the better truck compared to the frontier. The 4th gen is rough.

Interior? Almost irrelevant. Long term reliability is by far the most important quality. We now live in the Bizarro world where Nissan now definitely wins the reliability race and therefore my money. As a long term toyota fan I never thought I'd choose a Nissan over a Toyota but here we are. TOYOTA: GO BACK TO SIMPLE RELIABLE AND INEXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!! Even roll down windows and no radio is fine, but definitely naturally aspirated.

Ok but also: 1. Very easy to steal (<120 seconds even with steel 'security' headlight plate fitted, <20 seconds for older models without the plate) 2. Skyrocketing insurance premiums because of how easy it is to steal 3. Extremely high maintenance part costs (pair of Lexus RX shocks > $1500)

There is no way they turbo powered engines will last as long as the regular ones. Guarantee the ‘25 will be a lot more money as well. Hard pass on this one

I've had the older version of both. Just something about toyta vehicles that I like a little better. But both make good vehicles.

Does the blind spot monitor also beep if someone is in blind spot and you try to change lanes or does warning light only illuminate?

I'd take the Honda right now. Much better second row for family use in upper trims (non-removable captains chairs don't hold a candle to three removable seats that can easily be reconfigured for family use) and it doesn't have thousands in markups. Every Toyota dealer need me is charging way over MSRP whereas the Hondas can be had for thousands below MSRP. For a Sienna Platinum is something like $9000 more in the real world than an Odyssey Elite which drives better. It would take about a decade to make up the difference in fuel savings.

Easy choice. The Frontier interior is basically simple, rugged and reliable. Just like the engine, transmission, suspension and everything else. It's perfect!! It actually reminds me a lot of the way Toyota builds the Hilux, easily Toyotas best truck. The Tacoma has too much technology, too much soft leather. Basically, the Tacoma was designed for a granny. The Frontier is designed for a man. I will take the Frontier first time, every time. I hope Nissan doesn't destroy a good thing next year with their redesign.
